The Story
Oil and gas teams were counting pipes by hand at drilling sites, storage yards, and exploration facilities, a slow and error-prone process especially with large stacks or during active loading and unloading. We built a mobile application that uses computer vision to detect and count pipes directly from a photo or short video, giving field teams an accurate count along with an annotated image or video for verification, in seconds rather than the manual process taking much longer.
